My Story

Welcome to JanieMac! I'm Martina, founder of this small Irish business born out of love and craftmanship.
JanieMac's journey began as a way of finding solace and healing after the passing of my father. Being pregnant with my third child during this challenging time, the names Jane and Eoin were chosen - both connecting to the memory of my father John. Upon Eoin's arrival in November 2009, my passion for crafting was reignited.
Crafting runs deep in my family’s history; from my mother's teachings to Granny Mac's traditions passed down through generations. My late father’s creativity further inspired me to create something truly special. Thus, the name "JanieMac" was formed - a meaningful blend representing my heritage, craft, and cherished memories.
Like a Magpie captivated by vintage jewelry, I breathe new life into heirlooms by reinventing them into handstitched neckpieces and headpieces.
Recycled materials play a significant role in every unique creation I make.
Inheriting costume jewellery from Great Gran Aunt Nan Hamrock sparked my passion for repurposing sentimental pieces into wearable art.
At JanieMac, each item is handmade with care and attention to detail ensuring that every piece tells a story as unique as its wearer.
Customers entrust me with their treasured items which I transform into bespoke creations that honor their past while reflecting their individual style.
Join me on this journey of craftsmanship and creativity at JanieMac where tradition meets innovation in every meticulously crafted piece.
